his article explores the current relevance of the institution of advocacy in the Republic of Uzbekistan, with a particular focus on the legal and theoretical framework for the suspension of a lawyer’s status. It analyzes the updated Constitution, presidential decrees, government resolutions, and the Law “On Advocacy” to examine the regulations governing temporary suspension of lawyers'
status. The study includes statistical data from Tashkent, outlines grounds for suspension, discusses the role of qualification commissions, and reviews the digitization of licensing procedures. A comparative analysis with international
practices is also provided. The article presents scientific recommendations and emphasizes the advocacy system’s role as a critical legal safeguard in the protection of human rights and in advancing judicial reforms.
