ANALYSIS OF A METHOD FOR SEPARATION OF RARE METALLS GOLD AND SILVER FROM ACIDIC THOUREA SOLUTIONS
Keywords:
rare metals, gold, silver, thiourea, cementation, electrolysis, extraction, alkaline precipitation, activated carbon, regenerationAbstract
The article analyzes various methods for the extraction of gold and silver from thiourea solutions (cementation, alkaline precipitation, electrolysis, activated carbon and extraction). The chemical processes, advantages and disadvantages of each method are considered. Although cementation is simple, the quality of the precipitate is low, while electrolysis and extraction provide highquality precipitates, but are resource-intensive. The optimal method depends on the composition of the raw materials and economic factors.
