ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

Artificial intelligence is specialized for performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. These systems can analyze data, recognize patterns, make decisions, and learn from experience. The major users are students. They utilize it daily for their presentations, research work, and tests (even for having a conversation). Although it is widely used in millions of fields, it has its pros and cons. This research explores the benefits and drawbacks of utilizing AI systems in higher education. The author used both qualitative and quantitative research methods in this article among undergraduate students. According to the research, 237 students found AI as a beneficial system whereas, in contrast, 61 students rated it as an unbeneficial one. This means that 80% of students preferred the AI system while 20% of students chose the opposite option. This research explains why students
chose these two options. The advantages and disadvantages of using AI are discussed in this article. Overall, AI has become the top system that is widely used majority of people for their daily purposes
