CHINA AND UZBEKISTAN: ANTI-CORRUPTION MECHANISMS IN ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Description
This study provides a comparative analysis of anti-corruption
mechanisms in environmental protection in China and Uzbekistan. The article
examines the environmental governance systems, environmental legislation, and the
effectiveness of anti-corruption measures in both countries. The research findings
indicate that in the last decade, China has implemented automated monitoring and a
system of strict penalties to detect environmental violations, while Uzbekistan is in
the process of establishing a new legislative framework and introducing digital
technologies to combat corruption in the environmental sector. In both countries, the
effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts is directly linked to the activity of civil
society, the level of transparency, and the independence of law enforcement
agencies. The study concludes with practical recommendations for combating
corruption in environmental protection
