ISSUES OF PROTECTION AND EXPANSION OF FORESTS AND GREEN AREAS IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

This article analyzes the current state of the forest fund and green
areas of Uzbekistan. The ecological and economic importance of forests, the factors
threatening them, as well as the decisions and projects adopted by the state are
discussed. In particular, the national project “Green Space” and other environmental
programs are analyzed. In addition, scientific works of Uzbek scientists in the field
of ecology are also presented.
