Abstract

With the rapid development of information and communication technologies, media
literacy and information culture are gaining special importance. The sports sector is
at the center of mass media and public attention, requiring a unique approach to
information dissemination and consumption. This article provides a comparative
analysis of media literacy and information culture levels in the sports sector between
European and Central Asian countries, based on statistical data and international
research. The results show that European countries demonstrate a high level of
media literacy due to their long-standing experience and systematic approach, while
Central Asian countries are actively developing in this area. International
cooperation and educational projects can help improve media literacy and
information culture in the region
