COVERAGE OF THE HISTORY OF SAMARKAND IN THE HISTORY OF THE USA AND GREAT BRITAIN (HISTORICAL – SOURCE ANALYSIS)
Abstract
A unique historical picture written by English historians and source
scholars to reflect the historical landscape of ancient civilizations in the territory of
Samarkand, including the scientific and cultural heritage of the Timurid period
before the invasion of the Russian Empire, that is, over the period between the
beginning of the 15th and the second half of the 19th century. Manuscripts and travel
notes as a great achievement entered the world intellectual scientific heritage in the
field of Samarkand studies. These achievements constantly attracted the attention of
mature researchers who are representatives of English schools of oriental studies at
the late stages of historical development. In this article, based on historical and
source analysis, information about the coverage of the history of Samarkand in the
historiography of the USA and Great Britain is interpreted
