PHONETIC REDUCTION IN SPOKEN COMMANDS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK
Abstract
This study explores phonetic reduction in spoken commands in English
and Uzbek, focusing on how words and sounds are shortened or simplified in
natural speech. The research examines common reduction patterns in both
languages, comparing their phonetic, morphological, and syntactic characteristics.
Data is collected from native speakers in real-life and experimental settings,
analyzed using acoustic and phonological methods. The findings contribute to
understanding speech efficiency, language-specific reduction strategies, and their
implications for language learning, human-computer interaction, and linguistic
studies.
