Abstract

Distance learning has revolutionized foreign language education by providing
flexibility, accessibility, and diverse technological tools. With the rise of online
platforms, learners engage in interactive lessons, virtual classrooms, and AI-driven
language applications. Research suggests that well-structured distance learning
programs can be as effective as traditional methods when incorporating multimedia
resources, synchronous and asynchronous activities, and personalized feedback.
However, challenges such as reduced face-to-face interaction and motivation issues
must be addressed through innovative pedagogical strategies. This paper explores
the effectiveness of distance learning in teaching foreign languages, focusing on
methodologies, technological advancements, and pedagogical adaptations. By
analyzing various studies, this article highlights the key benefits and limitations of
distance learning in language acquisition, offering insights into optimizing online
education for language learners.
