Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the types of dragonflies,
their lifestyle, life, distribution, nutrition, as well as their biological and ecological
significance. Information is provided on the biological and morphological
characteristics of dragonflies. Dragonflies are the oldest and most amazing insects.
The body consists of a head, thorax and a long thin abdomen. On the head are short
antennae, very large compound eyes. The mouthparts are arranged in a rodent-like
manner. The wings are in two pairs and densely veined. The wings of most
dragonflies are widely spread on both sides of the body. Adult dragonflies are
beneficial by killing insect pests.
