Abstract

This study investigates the significance of proverbs in the acquisition of foreign language skills,
focusing on their contribution to the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities.
Proverbs, as culturally rich and linguistically structured expressions, are essential in shaping the proficiency of
language learners. This article examines the impact of incorporating proverbs in language learning, providing
evidence that they enhance both comprehension and production skills. Through the analysis of existing
literature and practical teaching examples, this study highlights the pedagogical value of proverbs in promoting
linguistic fluency, cultural understanding, and communicative competence.
